Aokie James, MIL

I discovered the joy that a feeling of "home" brings during my childhood in rural Virginia. With my siblings and cousins, I played in the woods and creeks of our family land until suppertime. As a professional realtor, my greatest passion is to recreate that magical feeling from my childhood for today’s modern and diverse lifestyles. For my buyers, it means fulfilling your dreams with a home you love, that you can live well in. For my sellers, it means proudly showing your current home in its finest light to get you ready and set for your next adventure.

I’ve gotten to know all the ins and outs of the greater Charlotte region since I came here for culinary school in 2002. As an executive chef and a caterer, as well as a volunteer and a mentor, I’ve worked settings across our region that range from the simplest to the most sophisticated, luxurious and well-appointed. Creating meals and events for every taste and budget taught me unique lessons that give me a sharp competitive edge in today’s real estate market. When you work with me, timing is crucial, organization wins the day, each small detail matters, and creative vision is irreplaceable.

As professional and passionate realtor, I’ve built a stellar reputation for my commitment to long-lasting relationships and impeccable service. I am a certified pricing strategy advisor, able to deliver crucial guidance with significant financial benefits for my clients. I work in residential, commercial, investment and luxury property markets in Charlotte and the surrounding areas, serving clients in every phase of life. I take great pride in having achieved my certification to serve members of the military and their families – whose service to our nation is so appreciated. I am also honored to serve on the Diversity Council of our Western North Carolina MLS/Canopy Realtor Association.

My diversity leadership and board member service extend into the tennis world, where I have been a USTA board member, league captain for multiple championship teams and founder of an interregional competitive ladder with 300+ members. I am actively involved in the community as a volunteer for My Sister’s House, I have founded a private group that collects and distributes winter items for homeless residents of our area, and I am actively engaged in volunteer activities for Friendship Missionary Baptist Church and Highland Mill Montessori School.

As a real estate agent and community member, I am committed to best practices in real estate investment for entrepreneurs, and to helping families build wealth through home ownership. Contact me today to put my extensive contacts and the backing of Re/Max and the Hastings team to work for you!
